Developments are now happening on the micro-payment side and this is the session that will provide updates.

Jerome Almirante - Smart Communications

Jerome Almirante is Head of the VAS and Data Services Department of Smart Communications, where he has been for the past 10 years in a Marketing and Business / Product Development role. Furthermore, he:
  • Oversees the following businesses and revenue streams of Smart: Mobile Internet, Music and Rich Media, Gaming, Legacy Value-Added Services, Infotainment, Messaging and P2P services.
  • Handles Product Development revolving around Wireless Broadband and Internet Platforms.

Ian Stewart - Friendster

Ian has been involved with youth marketing all his life; first as a consumer, then a student, and then working for the likes of Coca-Cola, Ogilvy, MTV, and his own youth agency Filter, which was acquired by Aegis. Ian returned for a second stint at MTV Asia in 2006, where he ran the regional business for the MTV brand. He joined Friendster in 2009 as their Asia Head and is loving the thrill of the social media space. Ian came to Asia 18 years ago from Sydney.

Andrian Lee has been an eCommerce advocate and entrepreneur for the past 9 years. Currently he is the General Manager, Philippines & Emerging Markets, for AsiaPay, a Hong Kong-based electronic payment gateway and ebusiness platform solutions used by 11 banks in 8 countries in Asia.

Andrian recently launched in the Philippines an affordable ecommerce service for commercial merchants with BDO.
